The Nokia E75 is being mainly called a “Business” device and thats it. What many people dont realize though, is how awesome of an all rounder this phone is. One of its best features, is using the E75 as a music device.

The E75 is also the first Eseries-branded handset to utilize the AIC33 dedicated audio chip. So as you can expect, Audio Quality is great, and definitely on par with Nseries devices.

Nokia Messaging for Nokia 5800 released

Nokia Messaging on S60 V5 delivers all the great features you’re know from Nokia Messaging, including Push email delivery, IMAP subfolders and mobilizing up to ten mailboxes including Windows Live Hotmail, Yahoo! and Gmail.

Some of the highlights specific to the S60 5.0 client:

  • Even easier program navigation with support for ‘tap & hold’ contextual functionality
  • The client is completely fingertip-operated, no stylus required
  • Functions both in landscape and portrait views
  • Message previews in the inbox view
  • Displays address book contact photos in messages

Since this is a prelease you must pay careful attention to the installation instructions. BetaLabs is basically putting this client out to gather feedback for the final version for the S60 5.0 client that will come in May (Edit: Check comments for a bit of clarification on this part).

Nokia Messaging Email App Updated with HTML and Hotmail support

Nokia Messaging just got updated to v1.1 today. The new update brings HTML support and Windows Live Hotmail support.

How do I view HTML email in Nokia Messaging?

Messages with HTML formatting will be automatically displayed in Nokia Messaging. If there are images in the email you want to view, click on Show Graphics in the header of the email. HTML formatted emails use more data, please be aware that you may incur charges from your operator in connection with the transfer and receipt of data to your mobile phone. You can change the setting so that emails open as plain text by default. HTML emails can be viewed only on S60 Feature Pack 1 and Feature Pack 2 devices.

Mail On Ovi Is Coming: Beta Already In Progress In India

Nokia believes in taking technology to the masses and to take email to the 75% of the world’s population that still doesn’t use email they’ve announced the free Mail on Ovi service. The Mail on Ovi team is currently beta testing a new mobile email service in India, Malaysia and the Philippines on a wide range of Series 40 devices and will be making Mail on Ovi available globally in 12 languages by the end of this year. Don’t worry about the lack of S60 support just yet, it should be coming along soon.

As will be web access to Mail on Ovi. So not only do you stay connected to your friends on-the-go, you also get easy-to-use access from your computer. The beta trial of the webmail interface is scheduled to start in February of 2009. Your @ovi.com email address is here. Details below.
